Doo
Hello guys, we’ve been having the NAV flag on the #1 HSI in view. Both receivers were changed as well as the switching relays. the antenna was removed, cleaned and reinstalled, yet there wasnt any improvement.however, after the removal and reinstallation of some of the switching relays, both #1&2 NAV flags remain in view. . Kindly help suggest a solution. Edited October 20, 2018 by Doo Correction

Shola
The connector to one of the blade antennas on the vertical stabilizer was found removed. Connector tightened back and system checked and found ok. Apparently, there was no signal from one of the 2 antennas to the receiver. tinyclark
The lack of signal wouldn't have affected the VOR, I don't think. It is possible the system was picking up noise or the lack of load on the receiver antenna connector caused a fault. One side being off certainly should have screwed up the localizer. Good find, guys. Edited October 30, 2018 by tinyclark
