Pressurization Failure

Recommended Posts

Is there any indication in the flight deck for pressurization failure in C-130H or C-130E aircraft?

Yes, if you are looking.

The cabin altimeter on the copilots instrument panel and the Pressure controllers differential pressure gauge.

I think the true answer you are looking for is: No, there is no warning system for a high cabin altitude. Nothing that is originally installed equipment but there have been a few after market systems used.

It took a while for the old brain to kick in. I remember many a Functional Check Flight checking this:

Low Cabin Air Pressure Warning Light
28V ESS DC CP Side
CABIN LOW PRESSURE WARNING
A low cabin air pressure warning light on the copilot’s instrument
panel will illuminate if the cabin altitude exceeds
10,000 feet

n1dp,

That sounds like the L-382E/G or L-100-30 aircraft. The light will extinguish when the cabin altitude decreases to approximately 8,000 feet. I am not sure what C-130H or C-130E has this modification in their aircraft.
