bobdaley
A few years ago when 193 SOW got its J's, it sent 2 EC-130E's to Active Duty AFSOC at Hurby. 63-7815 and 63-7816. I later saw that they were redesignated C-130E's. I thought they were just trash haulers for AFSOC. Last month one, 63-7816 was at the Andrew's Air Show. It was redesignated again a C-130P. I had never heard of a C-130P. HC-130P, MC-130P but C-130P never heard of. Is there really such a designation. Does a C-130P have a mission or is it still just a trash hauler. Or is it all a mistake? Thanks Bob Here are the pics.
mc130fe
Maybe this is the "True Secret Squirrel" we’ve been hearing about all these years…good find.
Lkuest
It's probably a placard mistake. 63-7829 has had WC-130E on that dataplate for a while now, and that's just a slick. I'm sure there are many more mistakes out there, especially on planes that tend to flip flop a lot like this one.
Railrunner130
90-1057 has MC-130H on the crew door placard. It's a slick H2.
