apexlined Posted January 24, 2011 Share Posted January 24, 2011 Today i have egr (engine ground run) for snag no 2 NTS light illuminate momentarily during advance throttle from flight idle to ground idle. Lkuest Posted January 25, 2011 Share Posted January 25, 2011 You should try to check the clearances on the torque retainer lug assembly. You should also make sure the parts of the assembly are bolted on tight and safetied. If the clearances are correct, you may have some binding linkage underneath the valve housing cover itself. If you can get the problem to duplicate without actually operating the engine, it would definately indicate rigging problems. If it cannot duplicate without running engines, it would seem more like a linkage/torque retainer lug problem. Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

I am asking; was the Valve and NTS check switch positioned in NTS or VALVE position during the shifting? If it was in NTS the light should not illuminate momentarily once system is positively actuated (a holding relay should keep the light ON) unless the holding relay is malfunctioning, or… the NTS/VALVE “micro” switch within the valve housing is loosed/repositioned/malfunction. NATOPS1 Posted February 12, 2011 Share Posted February 12, 2011 Sounds like you NTS system is working fine but when you move the throttle in ground idle the valve housing still thinks (rigging or alpha shaft loose/play) it is in the flight range and the NTS is NOT cammed out. When you move to the ground range the NTS system does all the "NTS" functions but the linkage in the valve housing is disabled (due to the rotation of the alpha shaft) so there is NO blade angle change (to relieve the NTS condition)... When you move the throttle from flight idle to ground idle do you see a torque increase/ rpm decrease? If you do not have a torque increase then you may only need to check the NTS (valve) switch in the valve housing and adjust it. Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
galgany2009 Posted February 14, 2011 Share Posted February 14, 2011 IF TRY ALL OF THE SOLUTIONS AND STILL STUCK.MAKE SURE THAT THE PUMP HOUSING IS PROPERLY INSTALLED IN POSITION,THE GAP MIGHT BE SO CLOSE AND SHIFFTING OF THE PUMP HOUSING ACTUATES THE NTS.
