  1. Hey Sonny, How are you doing? Just saw Dan Saunders,Tom Nelson and Tom Britt. We had a few beers. What is new with you?
  2. I heard that a couple of C-130's were parked at Cubi Point so I drove out there to take a look. They are MC-130J's belonging to the 17thSOS here for Balikatan 2018. Tails are # 5761 and # 5762.
  3. Don, I remember flying occasionally with Les Squires in the 772nd, though I didn't know he was in the area or maintaining the airplane. I don't remember any of his history prior to the 772nd. Visited Dyess last November and was as much amazed about what had changed as I was about what was still the same, including Abilene. The big new building housing the C-130 squadrons sets over the site where the 772nd and 773rd buildings used to be. Jim

  5. Muff, That was most likely us, we were coming into MGE about that time. I don't think another Herc was in the pattern. Pretty good looking airplane, I think.
  6. Skip, anybody told Flame and Dirt Bag about # 7785,she was their favorite? My last flight before retiring was on her from Udon-Thanni to Kadena summer of '94. 10.5 hours on 3 motors. Will never forget bagging a motor while on the boom. Was also on # 567 at Rio-Hato. When, if my memory serves me right, you and Harvey hit the tree and departed with only 3 turning. We spent the rest of the night FARRP, ing the little birds then left without enough gas to get home unless the the tanker was still around. Thankfully the 135 was still hanging around.

  8. Completed company production flight certification today. Will be turned over to DCMA for next flight. Logged 3+50 hours.
  9. We logged 4+42 on her today for a 1st production and "green" software flight regression. Hopefully will finish her tomorrow. Fine airplane!
  10. Lockheed-Martin Aero, Marietta, GA has a job opening for a C-130J loadmaster. The position and description is listed on the Lockheed-Martin website under # 165887BR. The position is in the Flight Operations Dept.

    It is a pain in the butt keeping the -J tails straight, since each unit gets individual numbers.
