What system are you using and how do you find it for use. We are hoping to get the Trulink system but we will probably get new planes first ....yeah right.

Morning I am involved in the celebration of 50 years of flying of NZ 7001 (64-4052) being the first C130H. We are aiming to have a celebration in November and would love any early/production photos while she was being constructed. We are celebrating the aircraft and not 50 years of operation. Any one out there was the test flying/construction crew stories would be great. Also look forward the discussion of the RNZAF operating the same aircraft model for 50 years. Thanks John

During after ttakeoff check fe turns on bleed air and then after 15 seconds left empannage compensator starts smoking. It has been cleaned, baked in oven and repleced but still smokes up? Video to come.

YEs have the plans for them wooden milk stool and we use the wood one in antartica but the two piece metal fits nicely Into the 2 gallon urn storage point behind the aux pump hence after a couple more

Can anyone assist in obtaining information for the grey two piece ramp support / ramp stool that can be used on the C130. I am trying through official channels but need a little assistance. We have a couple already that we "obtained" from the Canadians years ago but need a couple more. (Photo attached) Thanks

Read an article the other day in the USAF web site about a LC 130 J operating at McMurdo Station Antartica but talking to the movement boys in Christchurch they have not seen any through this season. Are there any out there?:confused:

Hi Guys Here is a video showing a Kiwi C130, NZ 7005 and Aussie "H" helping out in Fiji. Not quite Haiti but C130's to the rescue again. Aussie C130 has a 50 Years painted tail. Well Gentlemen I can laugh because we in the bottom of the world use the slip stick everyday. We have a butchered version of your Form F and this is completed before every flight that has pax or cargo. There is also a TAC version we use for air drop. We were hoping to move to moments on a PDA but Lockheed want Thousands for it which we can not afford at the moment. So the slip sitck is the RNZAF's C130 ALM best friend (next to the rum bottle). And just for the record our P-3's use one as well. If you ask a ALM on a kiwi C130 he will be able to show you how to use it. Oh we also have a problem with losing the clear plastic slide. Anyone know where to obtain some??:)

I have and seen info about WIAGO which was trialled at Travis but there have been no updates I can find?? Any takers? Also where does the USAF do there trials? I may be in Little Rock so maybe try someone there?

The RNZAF is looking into replacing the current SRA we use. Rescue liferaft and survival stuff dropped to persons in distress at sea. What does the Coast Guard currently use and how does it / is it deployed from the C130?? Is it compatable with the P3 bomb rack? Cheers

Does anyone know of a mil spec plastic round contianer thats is the same dimensions as the 2 gallon jug (ten points available) that fits in the storage points around the ramp. Currently we use 4 x :confused:20 litre jerry cans for emergency water but i would like to use existing 2 gallon points but lighter containers without insulation.

Does anyone know of a wireless headset system currently being used in the back of the C130. I hate getting the intercom lead caught in the dual rail, seats, load etc. Any leads would be great......
