    Recently retired from the Marine Corps as a Flight Engineer. I spent many years in Cherry point at either 253 or 252, however when I retired I retired from VMGR-152. I was the lucky one who was able to fly the last few legacy 130's back to the states and retire them, including 573 the only true "F" model that was still flying. My husband MgySgt Henderson is still in the Marine corps and is flying as a Crewchief at 152 and we are just waiting on his 30 years to roll around so that he can retire. We have one 17 year old son together and I guess that is about it. Well except for my current job. I am working as a Family Readiness officer for MTACS-18 over here in Okinawa, and let me tell you the Marine Corps does not prepare you for that job. I get asked so many crazy questions every day, I almost think that I would rather go back to the simulator as a student for the rest of my life than go to work as a FRO sometimes. For those of you who have been through the Simulator you know what I am talking about. Any way I guess that sort of sums it up.

    I am working on a FMS case for the Navy/Marine Corps and I am trying to make sure that I have all of the info about the T56-A-15 and the T56-A-16 engine differences. One of our countries wants to convert -16 engines into -15 engines. The info that I already know is: The T-16-A-16 is made from more corrosion resistant material The fuel controls are different: I did see someone mention that a -15 FC can not be used on a -16 engine. they will fit but won't work.. Is that a true statement? The -16 has a beefed up RGB, the front case is thicker The -16 does not have the external oil scavenge filter. Do I have all of them or am I missing anything. I think there is a difference in the generators also but I can't remember. I appreciate anyone who can help me out.
