  1. Depends on when and where you have it. Rick Lyman Maj-Ret 37th/38th 1970-1975.
  2. I flew C-130A's at Nashville (105th Sqn, Old Hickory) from 1983 to 1989 when we went to H models. One I flew was tail #517. It was supposed to have been the last out of Saigon. Can any one confirm this? Rick Lyman Maj Ret
  3. I have several thousand hours in C-130's. The VA provides my hearing aids, and I have a 10% disability which provides a portion of my retirement to be tax free. I got it based on being in Nam at Pleiku in 69-70 and I tried for the program where Nav's could cross train to Helecopter Pilot but failed the hearing test at DaNang. I was given my first set in the 90's and am going to get a new set next month. Hope this helps. Ritchey Lyman, Maj USAF-Ret
  4. To all Navigators, Observers of any service. You are invited to join our group and attend our reunion. It will be held Sept 7-9, 2011 at the Tuscany Resort and Casino in Las Vegas, NV. For more information, contact me at [email protected] Ritchey Lyman, Ret Maj life member AFNOA
  5. I am not sure when they went to four blades, but at Nashville they were all 4 blases by 1982 when I joined them.
  6. The above photo was taken by Maj Adams of he 105th TAS who was flying pilot that day. I was his Nav and we were flying #8 position, there were 8 more behind us. This was taken as we approached Nashville for landing. We had to go to Air Force for permission to fly a 16 ship formation. It was the last of this size for the A model. We each about 6 - 8 101 Airborne who had jumped that day. There was a VHS video made of the flight (pre digital days), The 105th may have available at Berry Field Nashville. Rick Lyman
  7. I am new at this. Just joined yestereday. Have a picture if the last C-130A 16 ship formation flown on 3 Oct 1987 (actually only 7 of them as the picture is from #8 that I was navigating) I could use advice on how to upload it to this site. Rick Lyman, Nav 105th TAS, Nashvile Tenn.
