Wish I could come but not possible maybe in Little Rock in 09. I know I would enjoy it but maybe not my wife -
This is not my first but we did a overniter in Tripoli Libya in 68 every thing was great on touch down went to town stayed alnight next morning the #2 boost pump low pressure lite came on good excuse to stay another nite fore the flight crew but not me and my acc we got a 3 level fuel cell man fresh out of school it was a bad two days some of you CC know what I mean.:woohoo: :woohoo:

nav\'s are real handy when you are flying a corridor in to the Congo that\'s not very wide been there and are Nav. kept us on course in and out

Most all FE\'s I worked with treated me vey well I would not let my plane fly if was not safe for me to go if you now what I mean. You go for it Dave

How many of you men got to go to Wassaw Poland I was lucky enough to get the trip in 68 Embassy Run food and liquor. But you know how it is I didn\'t get to see the Embassy I had stay and watch my plane couldn\'t trust the Poles so me and the load had stay while the rest went and had lunch they brought us cold hamburgers but thats life. I have another one for later a trip to the Congo that agood one to.:cheer: :cheer:

My first was in 1967 to Meldenhall, England wasn\'t alot to do but we did get to fly all over Europe and see the sights I forget to say we were in the 67 7 day war we were flying out embassy personal it was alittle touchy the Lebanese were not that frienly

Speaking of veitnam I just did a online records request to NPRC trying to get proof of boots on the ground was there in early 68 TDY at Clark made several in country missons. But no proof they didn\'t give us pee ons a copy of the fight orders

I remenber some of the guys kind of like the paint remover but not me it was terrible. I do remenber doing some center wing die checks but that was 40 years ago

I remember the eng. mounts. was haveing cracks that paint remover was real strong that was in 66 I think we did it in phase maint. it was quiet a job a not much time to do it. Ours was 64 models

I blew a tirein the middle of the nite at Da Nang that was not a good nite. Stopped on runway had to get out and open wheel well doors in the dark and walk along while he got the plane of the runway. I had just put the tire on at Clark that morning

It was agreat day in my backyard Yesterday a C-130 was doing fly-byes it was grey it did 8-10 passes she a extra pod on the wing tips between 1&tip 4&tip never seen that before she was probably doing FCF from Robins. It was great even though it was 100 degrees

It would have broke my heart to see 64-510 blown like that who made the decision look like it might have salvaged mayebe to dangerous

We used to do TDY to Ft. Bragg\'Ft.Campbell\' Ft. Benning most always 5\'6 days at a time during jump school graduation not a lot to do but nco club. This was 67\'68
