  1. Thank you for all the Info. the nose strut, SCV, steering act, MLG tires, NLG tires and the brake system have been changed. Im going to try the Engs. Thanks again
  2. We have a C-130 that is pulling to the left when its taxiing. we have changed a lot of parts but it is still pulling to the left, any ideas?
  3. I'm looking for an installation drawing to build up and old "pip" connnector style Aux Fuel Qty harness for a C-130E, 1963 model. The aircraft missed the tank modification for the terminal type connections and has an older style harness that is not in the JEDMIX that we can find. We are trying to prevent a couple days extra down-time to use the old harness as a template, so all we need is the lengths of the cables to build one up prior to going in tank. Any info would be appreciated!
  4. well it think we have a good fix. My bird just got back from a road trip and no nose wheel shimmy. It was the Steering Control Valve.

  7. This is a list of components we have changed. Nose Strut Tires 4 sets NWS actuator Checked rig on nws cables Trunnion bearing Main wheel bearings Steering Control Valve I think the Steering Control Valve fixed it. I will post the results when I know it"s a good fix. Thank you for the help.
  8. We have tried everything. What will cause a nose wheel shimmy?
  9. I can not find a part number for a phenolic block, the block is in the NLG. Their are two hydraulic lines that go to the steering control valve and the two swivels on the upper left side of the nose gear. There is a bracket on the NLG upper assembly. The two hyd lines run through a phenolic block. I need to know what where to find the part number. I have tried the 1C-130H-4 and found nothing.
  10. I have seen this before when I was Hydro. Some of this info is stuff you know already so please do not let me insult your intelligence. The pump performance data is as follows: Eng Pumps 14.5 GPM with a pressure of 2900 to 3200 psi with the pump running at 2600 rpm Norm press, Max press is 3500 psi, LSGI 2550 psi. Therefore, with a range of 2900 to 3500 (max psi) you have 600 psi to play with. The Aileron Booster system has a pressure reducer on both sides (utility & Booster) that takes the pressure from 3000 to 2050 so there will be a lesser deflection that might be why the flux is smaller. I hope this helped and bleeding the X-miter would not hurt if it has been changed recently. Have a nice day.
