Hello, Can anyone direct me to a webpage where I can find the technical data of an "E" model? Belgian Air Force aquired a 1964 "E" model from Evergreen Aviation, to replace the CH-02 which got lost in a fire at SABENA-Technics, Brussels International, (EBBR). How is the ASIP program being run for the MC-130P? In the -6 the sections for MC-E and MC-P are "reserved". Where is the Air Force getting data for these planes? I was thinking they could just be using data from all the other herks to track trends across the entire fleet including MC-Ps. Anyone know how it works for sure?

I have a static line retriever that is blowing the current limiters anytime the switch is (bumped) it wont blow the limiter if you just hold the switch but it blows when the switch is bumped just to bring in the cable a bit at a time. We have new relays on order but has anyone ever had this problem?

Just a fun one that came up at work today. What is everyones guess (Or even better, someone who has access to specific data) as to the total number of fasteners on a bone stock, unmodified new Herk? I'm talking about rivets, hilocks, bolts, screws ect.. The WHOLE lot. I am certain that this actual information is available, as every part, panel, and structural component has a print. I will try to find the real number, but in the mean time who has a guess. Helluva game of "how many jellybeans in the jar".

I need some help in painting a large scale model of a C-130. I have a picture of what I want to try to replicate, Can anyone tell me the FS # of the Gray on the lower fuselage? Secondly, I need the widths of the White-Red-White warning stripes on the prop tips. I seem to remember 2",3",2". If I am mistaken, please advise. For any and all, I can post pics of the model when I complete it if there is any interest among the membership. This may not be the correct forum for such a question, if so; I apoligise. During taxi, there is a vibration coming from the the MLG, both squeling and grinding. Upon insp of the brakes and tires there was no defect noted?? Just curious if anyone has run into this problem before!? All call to the experienced guys on this one!!

I\'m hope someone out there has a sling for a Nose random. We\'re currently getting the new apn 241 mod,(Low power radar) and we don\'t have a sling for mounting the nose. (no more apn 59 Has anyone ever used this, the T.o. Calls for using a dolly, or the sling. the dolly looks like a big bulky item. Really don\'t need anymore of those lying around the AGE yard. hi i have problem with c130h aircraft.After landing below 17 knots speed with normal conditions (normal brake and anti skid on)brake suddenly lost pressure.when switch off anti skid brake come out in good.we did changed tranducers,control box,anti skid valves,also normal brake control valves,snags still persist.During high speed taxy check its run smoothly,but after flight its come again.. pls help me

We are currently working on some pump housing showing leaks. The plane has been in cold weather, so we also have some blade leaks, but nothing abnormal. The other herk forum has lost the old posts from back when this question was asked, so I am hoping that some of you ol\' prop guys will repost your answers. The pump housing actually looks simple when the covers are off, but they aren\'t simple when tracing the source of leaks when part of the propller assembly. I am interested the causes of \"lip seal leaks\" and those that just look like lip seal leaks. We have three props now that appear to be lip seal leaks and none of them were overserviced. I overheard some mutterings about some concerns pertaining to (the future) H-model gunships flying out of Cannon. It has been said that if an airplane is on takeoff from the Cannon altitude on a hot day (typical in the summer months) with a nominal load of ammo and fuel, a hiccup on an engine could spell disaster. Surely, someone in Ops has looked at the numbers and provided an input to the higher command......
