Hi All, I have some Blindbat items left from Batfest III. They are all high quality items. I have embroidered patches, pins, and coins. The pins are perfect for wear on hats or as a tie pin. The coins are $5.00 each, the pins and patches are $3.00 each. I also have two types of coin protectors, exact size and white border for an additional $1.00 each. Postage will vary with the weight and distance but I have successfully sent them in the brown bubble packs. Let me know what you want. Ralph

Hi, folks, Just wanted to let you know my latest novel, SILENT ENEMY, hits the bookstores on August 4th. It's a story that I hope will do the airlift community proud; nearly all the action takes place in flight, aboard a C-5 Galaxy. In a starred review, Publishers Weekly says, "Aviation thriller aficionados will cheer, and readers of any genre will gnaw their fingernails to the quick." Booklist says, "Fans of Clancy, Coonts, and Dale Brown need to add Young to their must read lists.” SILENT ENEMY is already available for pre-order on Amazon and all the other online booksellers. I just got the sad news that Bob Wyatt passed away earlier today. Bob was a navigator at Charleston and went to Naha sometime in 1968 and was assigned to the 35th TAS. He was injured in a motorcycle incident and medically retired. He lived in western South Carolina and was active in Christian ministries, particularly with prisoners. Bob was admitted to the VA hospital in Augusta, GA about a month ago. No one knew he was sick until Joe Tucker finally reached him on his cell phone on Christmas Day. It turned out that he had lymphoma and it was in an advanced stage. Bob started flying out of Charleston in the early-mid sixties, at least by 1964 because he flew with Ed Ki…

Safair, a South African cargo operator, is in great need of herk capts. They have operations in South America, Afghanistan, Southeast Asia and Africa. The jobs are a combination of commercial work, UN relief and peacekeeping work and some Nato contracts. The contract period is usually one year, the south african licence validation is a piece of cake and you can fly until 65. Also the pay is pretty good so anyone interested checkout their website.

Hello all, Since joining earlier this year, I have made visits to the forums a part of my daily routine and contributed when I could. There is a lot of knowledge in this community and I learn something new every time I visit. For the past few months, I have been working on a few projects for my employer (Elite Electronic Engineering, Inc.) that I think will be very beneficial to the C-130 community. Specifically, I've been developing a Windows-based TOLD calculator and a TOLD training course for C-130J pilots. The initial offerings are specific to the C-130J, but I plan to develop similar offerings for the C-130E/H community in the future. Please visit our websit…

He lost his battle with cancer on January 14 2013 and went to fly that bird in the sky. He served his country with honor and devotion for 26 years in the United States Air Force,a person that everyone respected and depended upon, with a sense of humor and a warm smile that was with him at the end. He was the father to six children and 18 grandchildren. He was a great friend and coworker to many. He will be greatly missed by all.
