loadsmith
Anyone have any info on this story. Found two pics on the AF website here: http://www.af.mil/photos/index.asp?page=
DC10FE
All I\'ve heard is that it was a Transafrik Herc -- don\'t know the registration. I\'m told it made a very high approach, landed long & went off the end. They ferried it somewhere for repairs with the gear chained down (for some reason). Don R. Mortarbait
Any idea who the crew were?
DC10FE
I sent an email to Peter Gardiner -- he was supposed to be the ferry captain. I\'ll let you know who the crew was if he replies (he\'s not very reliable about replying). Also sent an email to JB. He\'s the one who told me about the high approach & landing long. Don R. SlickMDS
It was National Air Cargo with supposedly a Turkish crew.
DC10FE
Actually, it was Transafrik\'s S9-CAW (leased to National AC) with a Filipino crew. Don R.
