SonnyJ
(/) RT WING ROOT, FWD PILLAR-TO-HEAVEN VERY CRACKED AT BOTTOM Anyone wanna take a guess what they are talking about?
Guest
That description doesn\'t give you much to go on...I was about to make a wild guess, but there\'s too much missing in the translation. I would be afraid that they were looking at a spar problem. Please let us know what the squawk really turns out to be. John
Fräulein
While I have zero experience, I have been guilty of writing a few cryptic squawk tickets, at my job, in the past. I am inclined to say spar because of the word pillar. But this is a guess. If it were an international, the solution would be to drill a hole into the metal to stop the crack from continuing, and just wait for the recall notice to be sent out. pjvr99
I\'ll take a WAG at the vertical former in the MLG box where the wing root attaches is not up to manufacturer specs .....
SonnyJ
Here is another: (LC-130)LT WING ROOT SKI EMERGENCY UP LINE RUBBING ON AFT PILLAR TO HEAVEN. Starting to sound like a vertical beam to me. Sonny

Starting to sound like a vertical beam to me. Sonny That\'s what I was gonna say, vertical beam. There\'s no way a brake line can rub on a spar. The landing gear goes up to \"heaven\" and back down to \"earth\" along the beam. \"VERY CRACKED AT BOTTOM\" would be right below the shelf bracket where they always crack.
