tinyclark
I know, not a C130, but the roll is impressive about 1 minute into the video. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yhslurKZulA
DC10FE
I imagine you could safely roll any airplane as long as you kept a positive steady g-force on the airframe. I wouldn't think the airplane would care about its attitude. Then again, I may be full of crap -- just my opinion. Of course, I wouldn't want to be on the crew that tried it. Ever see the video of the 707 in Washington that was rolled? Does that C-27J have de-icing boots on the leading edges like the old Gooney Bird or the C-54 or are the leading edges just painted black? US Herk
I'm confident I could successfully roll the Herk w/o much loss of altitude. The trick is the rudder reversal at the top - if you don't do that, you'll end up in a barrel dive and lose quite a bit of altitude. I do it in the sim every year to "practice" for when I have to do it for real in combat! Hahaha! Yes, virtually any plane can roll... talonlm
Heard rumors, nothing more, of either one or two 30mm or 40mm. Take it for what it's worth.
