Chris Down Under
to all Are there any units flying C-130's with -15 Engins and the old lower 2 Eng VMCA's of around the 135 kIAS mark instead of the 150's? There was talk a while back about going back down to the old proven speeds but so far I have not seen an ammendment into the Perfom Manual. anyone gone back down? Chris. victorp1
Chris, I just looked at a Lockheed SMP 777 and for 15 degrees Sea Level, 2 eng Vmca is 137 KIAS and the USN/USMC performance book has 138 KIAS. (non-rosemount, stubby body) Vic
Chris Down Under
Vic What ammendment status was that in the Lockheed SMP 777? We just got ours and it was not in there, it was the newer higher speeds and I thought it was all going back down. Maybe we are behind the times and "you know the times they are a changing". sorry all, its the flashbacks.. Thanks Chris
victorp1
Chris, The one I have has Change 8, Dated 15 DEC 97. I spoke to lockheed last fall and they said they were going to change the speeds in a new revision. I don't have that new revision yet and I checked the Lockheed Support site and the new revision was not listed in the "OFF-THE SHELF MANUAL REVISION SUMMARY" yet. You probably have the most current pub. Vic
