Dan Wilson
I remember a wunderful flight when I was in the 37th, I had a student (new IFE at the time) and we had a couple of wing col's getting thier requal in assualts at Geibelstadt. First landing drove me to my knees and the subsequent landings proceeded to trash the hell out of what remained of my knees. I had to apologize to my student and ask him to sit on the bunk for the rest of the flight, there was no way I was standing for any more of their landings:eek: coming out to the airplanes to unload Narra bars and papasan chairs etc. etc. Tac treasures. Them were the days.. We always referred to that as "decorating your house in Early American MAC" LOL Dan
DC10FE
Security not such a big deal then; remember the furniture store truck coming out to the airplanes to unload Narra bars and papasan chairs etc. etc. Tac treasures. Them were the days... I remember back in the late 1970's at Rhein Main, fully loaded Henniger beer trucks being escorted to the Creek Party KC-97's when they rotated home. Yep, "them were the days..." Don R.
Whiskeyglenn
With the Creek Party, that was going along time before that, Mid 60"s when they crew rested at Goose Bay. They's clean out the Class 6 store. I was a bus driver, back then. Also I worked the SAC alert mole hole. Those KC-135 crews that were comming off alert, and going south. would fill the busses with their booty. Glenn
