hithroel
Hi Folks, new questions about the C-130J: Autothrottle: How and where is the autothrottle function disengaged? Trimming: Where and how is trimming done? Is there anywhere a manual trimwheel? Last question for tonight: Does the C-130J have spoilers? Sorry for eventually dumb questions, but the only source of information are pictures in the web and this forum. (great source!! ) Thanks and greetings from Bavaria/Germany Thomas www.thomas-heinke.de
ezurk1
ATCS disengage buttons are located on the outboard side of power levers 1 and 4 (easily reached by pilot or co-pilot). Elevator trim still located on yokes, but I am not sure about rudder or aileron trim locations. Lastly, no, the "J" does not have spoilers. In addition, I have quite a bit of knowledge on the new engines/props, their operation and how they communicate with the aircraft. The C-130 J is a new animal on the inside wrapped in a familiar skin! Hope that helps. Edited December 16, 2009 by ezurk1
Dan Wilson
Those aren't dumb questions, heck that's what this forum is for - Herky lovers to share info and hang out and Bullshit:D Sorry that I cant contribute any answers to your questions, I have about twenty minutes standing in one of the early J models, outside of that I don't know anything about specific systems on the plane. roberth1hill
The rudder and aileron trim switches are on the pedestal similar to the heritage Herk. Flap and trim position indicators are on the Pilot's panel almost in the same position as the old ones.
