venom 66
Yesterday, 10 feb, I saw a civilian 130 on final to Tampa International airport. It looked like a stretched h model. it was all white with a skinny blue stripe mid way down the fuselage, running from nose to tail, with regs no: n497c. Can anybody id that herc? I suppose it was carrying wounded haitians. thanx to all.
DC10FE
Venom, That sounds like a Tepper Herc. Although they change their registrations like most people change their underwear, according the FAA website, N497C is assigned to a Piper Aztec. Check msn's 4684r or 4796i & j in the gallery & I'm pretty sure you'll find the Herc you saw @ TPA -- or as the news people here like to call it; TIA. Don R. Dan Wilson
Yep, sure sounds like a Tepper bird. I occasionally see them taking off and flying over the house on departure. Dan
Herkeng130
I agree, sounds like a Tepper but both of those reg numbers are to Piper Malibu Mirage type aircraft... Edited February 15, 2010 by Herkeng130 Tupper to Tepper, fat fingered it
Herkpilot
The first rule about Tepper Aviation is you don't talk about Tepper Aviation... Just kidding guys cheers
