donwon
Anyone at Ubon remember during noon mess that someone would seem to find crushed glass in the ice machine. Seems like it happened almost every day that I was there. I would still drink the ice tea but strain it through my teeth.
Mt.crewchief
Yes, I do remember talking about the crushed glass--but never found any???? Do you remember the little lizards running around on the screens of the chow hall? I think the locals called them "kissee lizards" Good old days huh? donwon
I don't remember the lizards but I do remember to check my boots before I put them on.
BobWoods
I remember the "Fu*k You" lizards, that was always good for a laugh at a new guys expense.
donwon
I remember a little village outside one of the gates where we would go to a bar and drink San Magoo in 12 or 16 oz bottles. It didn't taste as good as the small bottles we got outside Clark. Would then go back on base and take a cold shower. No Hot water at that time. HighTide
I remember the "Fu*k You" lizards, that was always good for a laugh at a new guys expense. Those FU lizards were a hoot. I had a female (according to mama-son) just above my bunk and she wouldn't leave. The scream or cry sounded pretty much like "FU". I was poking at her one day and was quickly briefed on what I was in for if she jumped and suction-cupped on me. I left her alone for my duration. tinyclark
Both lizards are of the gecko family. I believe the house lizards were called chinchooks, and the FU lizards Tokays.
