Muff Millen
Jansen, thanks much for posting the link to the Herk Conference. Lots of great info there. http://www.lockheedmartin.com/ams/2010HerculesOperatorsConference.html I will not be able to go but the info there is valuable and the other Herk folks on this site should visit the site. Also good info from past conferences. Muff
Jansen
You're welcome! They don't have the agenda for this year yet, but I would think that Mr. Ross Reynolds will give another C-130 program update. I posted some info I dug up on the increase in build rate in the "Manufacturing at Marietta" thread. Did I mention that there's a Marietta Plant Tour? Jansen
Some more details: Thursday, October 21, 2010 7:30 a.m. The tour includes visits to the flight line, the F-22 Raptor/C-130J production area, the Lockheed Martin gift shop, the low speed wind tunnel, and a C-130J static display. Due to limited space, seats are limited to the first 100 people who sign up. Please sign up early as only two buses will be available (100 total seats) The tour involves a lot of walking, so please do not wear high heeled or open toe shoes. Video equipment, cameras, including cell phones with cameras, and portable data storage devices are strictly prohibited. This last part is unfortunate, but you'll probably still be able to make a few notes and write down the registration and serial numbers of all the new planes. Muff That is very cool stuff! It's too bad they don't allow cameras, but would you mind taking some notes for us? These are some of the tail numbers that should be on the flightline, if you can confirm or add it would be very much appreciated. 5638 KC-3801 C130J-30 5639 KC-3802 C130J-30 5640 KC-3803 C130J-30 5642 06-3172 C130J-30 5643 08-3173 C130J-30 5644 168065 KC130J 5645 168066 KC130J 5646 168067 KC130J 5647 168068 KC130J

battleherk
My Commanding Officer, LtCol. Morris gave the speech on behalf of the Marine Corps KC-130's on the 19th. The video played in the beginning was my work, as was his power point presentation. I stayed back and got a grand tour of the Lockheed gift shop since I wasn't able to go to the tour on.
