bobdaley
57-0515 was a battle Damage repair trainer at Duke for a long time. I was told that it is no longer there. Is it there or can anyone confirm if it was scrapped? Thanks Bob
HeyChief
Someone needs to confirm this, but when I retired, Eglin was in talks with the 7th Special Forces Group to use as a jump trainer in preparation of their move down to Eglin Range. That info is about 3 years old though.
talonlm
She was scrapped in place a few years back, right about the time the construction on the east side of the field began. Don't know anything about the 7 SFG getting a fuselage to train with.
HeyChief
That was the other course of action they were considering at the same time. Sounds like scrapping was the winner
talonlm
One of the crew chiefs has some pictures from that day; I'll see if I can scrounge them up.
