Robert Podboy
The National Museum of the USAF (Wright-Patterson AFB OH 45433 near Dayton) does a great job with it’s website virtual tours. I especially like the 360 degree cockpit tours @ http://www.nationalmuseum.af.mil/virtualtour/cockpits.asp But apparently, they haven’t videoed a C-130 cockpit yet. Does anyone know if other museums do virtual tours and have done a C-130 cockpit? A virtual tour of the outside of a AC-130A is in the Cold War section of the museum @ http://www.nmusafvirtualtour.com Just click on the blue button on the Map by the top-view outline of the C-130. SEFEGeorge
The B-36 FE station looks like it could be a nightmare at times. Guess that's why there's 2 FE seats. You notice the oil quantity? 150 gal tanks. From my time at WP and being in the Area B hangers (69-70 and 73-75), can't remember all the restore work being done. Do remember a ME-109 that was sitting there uncrated and in parts.
314FMS
Robert Thanks for the 360 degree tours of the cockpits site. Very interesting, did not know it was available. Lee
