olcatmech2
One of the links about Gaddafi's undelivered C130S was interesting and I Googled the views showing them. Pretty interesting photos for sure. In the most Southern area photo there are 4 of the 130s and what appears to be a 1011 and possibly a C124? Can anyone advise me? The co ordinates for the photo I'm speaking of is 33.900381 84.516535.
PerfManJ
There were 8 C-130s intended for Libya, but none ever left Marietta. They are stored in 2 locations (33.900634, -84.516646 and 33.903918, -84.513492). You are correct that there is also an L-1011 TriStar at the first location, and the other airframe is a P-3. olcatmech2
Ok thanks for that info, I'd like to save the photos from the google view but haven't figured that out yet. Also thanks for the co ordinates! Larry
PerfManJ
No problem. You can save images from google maps (or any other window) using this method: once you have the view you want on your screen, press "Print Screen" which will take a snapshot of your screen. Then open Paint or some other image software and hit "Paste." I do that all the time.
jconner2
If you use Google Earth, you can e-mail a jpeg image to yourself. Also for everyone, Google Earth Pro is now free of charge and offers lots of extra features that are fun and helpful. http://google-latlong.blogspot.com/2015/01/google-earth-pro-is-now-free.html
