MINHAS866
hi to all. in turbine overheat detection system its written that keyers duty cycle 30 seconds on and 60 sec off if keyer or flasher is limited to 30 sec on then in flight this limit can exceed because of taking emergency actions for this .plz any one tell me about this why there ops is limited during its test .and why not limited during actual condition when overheat condition causes the lights to flash. will be thankfull. Ronc
MINHAS866, During testing you want to limit the use to prevent the keyer from overheating so that it can respond to an actual turbine overheat condition. In an actual turbine overheat condition if you have the performance available you will shut the engine down or let it run based on your needs. To be honest if you run the engine with the turbine overheat lights flashing and the keyer does fail it's not such a big deal because you are dealing with an actual emergency.
