    Keesler

Hi Lars Olaussopn is getting ready to update his book. If you have any updates for him his address is [email protected] In regards to that there used to be a 33 FLTS Det 2 at Keesler flying/testing the C/WC-130J. Are they still in business? Bob
  10. AFRC Herks gone USNR C130T\'s (3 I think) of VR-64, C-9\'s in VR-52, USMC CH-53\'s of HMH-772, PA ANG A-10\'s. Still there for now. Bob
  11. I heard that the second oldest, by Bureau number, aircraft in the USN/USMC inventory KC130F 147573 is heading from VMGR-152 to AMARC this weekend. It is the last operational KC130F. There are still 5 KC130F\'s involved in testing and 2 NC130F\'s in testing. THe NC\'s were KC\'s and I think they are drone launchers but I am not sure. The oldest aircraft in their inventory is 144670, an NU-1B Otter, at the Test Pilot School at Patuxet. Bob
  12. As I understand it the USCG is using external tanks off 1600 series H models now parked. Bob

    BRAC

Hi Got a little BRAC info this AM. 328 AS Niagra Falls is going to 12 C130 H\'s. It will be an AFRC unit with an ANG Associate unit. (Boy is that pork politics!!) The H\'s will come from 105 AS TN ANG and from Minneapolis(my guess 96AS) The 8 H\'s 92 models are leaving. (To where?) FayetteNam Observer said this AM that half the E models at Pope are gone and the rest are to be gone by summer. There will be 16 H\'s at Pope owned by 95 AS AFRC flown by 95AS and an active duty associate unit 2 AS. The 16 herks are 8 from Milwaukee 95 AS birds nand 8 from Pittsburgh 758 AS. 758 has already received 8 older H\'s from 185 AS OK ANG. Three Questions? Since 53AS is now closed, what happened to their airplanes, did they just move to 62 AS? When 53 AS reopens, are they getting E\'s back? When is 463 AG suppsed to become a wing? Bob
  17. I\'ll move the picture from 555 to 551, thanks, Bob
