  1. I understand why most of them are there, but I don't get why H's 78-0809,79-0474 and 82-0058 were sent there? Bob
  2. I'll try to check. I know that the 4 HC-P's and 1 HC-N stationed at Patrick went to AMARG. I heard corrosion issues. I also know they got 2 HC-P's from Moody. They could have got the 3 MC-P's. I'll let you know what I find out. Bob
  3. Pete Heard from a guy in Savannah that all 8 are going to MT. 8 well maintained ANG herks to replace the old Dyess/LRF H's Thanks Bob
  4. Didn't the dowdy prop factory just burn to the ground? But I agree, it seems to have a lot few problems. Bob
  5. Larry 74-1658 from Little Rock was recently reported on the restoration ramp at NMUSAF. Maybe the one you saw? Seems strange because NMUSAF was offered an MC-E,MC-H, MC-P and an AC-H and they turned them down because they already had too many herks (3). 74-1658 was declared surplus months ago and needs a new center wing. Why NMUSAF would want that H and turn down the others just seems strange. Bob UPDATE! Question answered. 74-1658 is sitting on the restoration ramp at NMUSAF. It will have its wings removed and be towed up the hill to be used as Aeromed Evac Trainer. Bob
  6. Thanks for the info, please keep us informed. Bob

  11. I am thinking about taking a road trip to Sheppard. Is anyone on the board stationed there now? I'd like to check out the herks and take some pictures. I have my current military ID. Also does anyone know either the telephone number or an e mail address for the contractors office that controls the herks? Thanks Bob

  20. http://www.wtoc.com/clip/11924892/165th-airlift-wing-receives-new-aircraft Saw this on line. Savannah getting H-3's. First one from Peterson 94-7321 What are they going to do with Savannah's H's? Is the AD AF shutting down all its C-130Assoiciate units? At one time there were associate units at Keesler Cheyenne, Peterson and Elmendorf, that I know of. Also I heard if the Associate unit at Pete closed, AFRC would keep the extra herks for their MAFFS mission. Guess not? Bob

  23. Casey Thanks Bob BTW we always disagree with Lockheed on the number produced because Lockheed says they did not build c/n 5048 N82178, and c/n 5055 N8213G and c/n 5056 N8218J, my guess is contracts with the spooks. Added c/n links--Casey
  24. Had 2 reports yesterday that a new Herk was test flying out of Marietta. One said for India, the other said for Saudi. Lockheed 5780 Anyone know who it is for? Thanks Bob
