  1. Thanks Casey, Got my decals today.. They are great. Great Job. Engine Mike
  2. I would definately use the Word "Leardership" sarcastically when referring to the administration. Its more of a Clusterf@&k run by a bunch of monkey's Blankity Blanking a football..... But that is just my view of the situation. Engine Mike
  3. I want to extend my condolences to you and your family in this time. Prayers go out to help you find the strength. Best Wishes, Engine Mike
  4. #3 blade is the one that is usually diffrent to quickly identify it for the down position to prevent prop leaks. Engine Mike
  5. I like the idea too. Talon 1's Rule. Engine Mike
  6. Sent my request to join today. Worked on the Shadows over in Mildenhall back in 2000-2001 time frame when I was with the 352MXS. Engine Mike
  7. 0567 going to go on display at Hurby Commando Park or Eglin Armament Museum? Engine Mike
  8. 523 needs to go either Wright Patterson Air Force Museum or to the Naval Museum at Pensacola Florida...... Would be funny to see it at the naval museum as an exhibit to Special Operations taking down the mighty USS Nimitz... Go Skip. Engine Mike
  9. As few of these aircraft as there were, I am surprised we don' have on in a museum somewhere. It would be sad if we let these all be scrapped. Engine Mike
  10. It would be one Talon standing in to honor a long lost Talon. Engine Mike
  11. 0547 didn't have the droop nose of the modern Talon at it time being lost n 1969. It had the HC style pug nose according to the pics in the gallery Engine Mike
  12. That would be an HC-130 Style nose , yokes and guide wires which would be a simple transition for a static display bird. Engine Mike
  13. Maybe someday 7785 can be configured to honor 0547. Since 7785 isn't even its real tail number why not let it stand in for 0547 Stray Goose 1. Just a thought, Engine Mike
  14. Sad for any herc to be in that condition. Remember the ol girl when Pope gave her to us back in the late 80's. She was all jacked up then, but a young crewchief took her on and gt her in good shape. Then one day the gave her away, and the next time I saw her was in picture getting ready to be scrapped at Sheppard. Engine Mike
  15. Guess it wasn't in the budget to do it right the first time and still get it into the field quickly. Engine Mike
  16. I'm guessing that the remaining airframes will be scrapped in place since I doubt their worth to be trucked out? Engine Mike
  17. I joined too. Michael A Molzahn aka: Engine Mike
  18. http://www.abandonedbutnotforgotten.com/chanute_afb.htm http://www.davejordanophotography.com/index.php#mi=2&pt=1π=10000&s=21&p=5&a=0&at=0 Its sad..... KI Sawyer is the same way I was up there attending orientation for American Eagle ERJ maintenance. Other than a few hangars and the new terminal its rotting away too. Engine Mike
  19. Got my 2 Black and Green War Machines in the mail today..... AWESOME is as close of a description as I can come up with. You did a great job. Engine Mike
  20. The Black and Green MC-130E with the white bottom would be a fitting tribue to the Stray Goose lost in 1967. Engine Mike
  21. The C-5M might be good to go until 2040, but look how long it takes to get a plane from drawing board to flight these days. With nothing in the pipeline it don't take long for 2040 to get here and the need for the next gen heavy lifter to be here. Look at the KC-X program as an example, we have relied on the KC-135 for so long we have worn out and still fighting over the next gen tanker. As the army intentionally keeps out growing the Herc's capabilities, the herc will be in trouble for meeting tactical airlift needs. Need someone manning the drafting board at Lockheed or they will be in trouble in the not so distant future. Engine Mike
  22. Awesome Job Casey...... Keep up the great job. Engine Mike
