I'm sure closed, secured is still a judgment call. why QA wrote you up for running #1 with the RH gear door open seems a little anal (a lot actually) even though I always had them closed. I know you could argue with the guy till your blue in the face and he would still come out on top. Secured is such a broad term. It coulda been removed and "secured" in the cargo pit and it would be legal just like Dan says for flying with one removed. If it aint a structural panel it just needs to be out of harms way. (removed or closed) I'm thinking Tiny may be digging through his books as we speak!

Old talon 1 FE, Your right and I did not notice that on the print. However like Skip says the variations are many and Casey has to call it good somewhere. My Print is supposed to represent 64-0523 with the 7th in the early 80's the 7th birds got UARRSI in that time frame. I think they all had it by the time I left in 83. The last picture Casey posted is one of the 7th planes also. 64-0523, 0555, 0561 or 0566. thats Doug Mussard standing at the nose. Would like to see the white bellied pic also if ya got one. Cheers! Not wanting to offend anyone currently serving but, Black and Green on the war machine was the only cool paint job I have ever seen on the Talons. Thats the way I want mine please. Also no beacon on the vertical stab, and the bars and stars were darkened as was all the insignia. Looks awesome Casey. I'll send you my address. Thanks. John
