  1. Thanks for the vote of encouragement. We certainly are working on the issue and so far we have 11 states mostly covered. The roadblocks include companies that ask for "donations" for the service, some who make the benefit payable to themselves and then dole out a portion to the veteran (!) There are also a host of insurance agents who think this is a bonanza for them to get commissions without doing the proper planning. I have nothing against capitalism; (I've been a physician and am now a financial planner) but I am against people who have low ethics in this endeavor. Some directors in various assisted living communities mistake this for Medicaid, and think we are trying to bilk the government! Of course, we are getting well-deserved aid to people (or their families) who truly sacrificed for the country. On the other hand, just last week we completed several applications and we're sure that this extra $12,000 per year tax free is going to make a huge difference in the lives of several women who can now afford to get much needed assistance. Feel free to spread the word about our website, www.moveteranaid.org. Thanx
  2. www.moveteranaid.org works with any eligible veteran at absolutely no cost in their efforts to get up to $20,000 per year through the VA Aid and Attendance benefit. Even those who previously thought they were not qualified may be able to begin receiving payments. We work with families of vets (Veterans and their spouses, widows and kids) in order to help place seniors in assisted living communities where they can begin receiving aid. We're ddicated to providing this free service to over 1 million eligible veterans of WW II, Korea and the Vite Nam War.
