  1. Pilots, especially, but also Flight Engineers, should get their certificates noted "English proficient". The plastic certificate one recieves then will probably have a new number to remove SSNs if that was the old number. I am not sure about Mechanic's certificates but I believe they will be exchanged the same. I submit that it is a very good idea to get this done on all FAA certs.
  2. As far as I know, there are two designated Flt. Eng examiners currently available; One is Bob Hill (me) and my e-mail has been posted here before, the other is Dave Gardener(sp) in Tampa. You probably can reach him thru the CAE simulator people in Tampa.
  3. The rudder and aileron trim switches are on the pedestal similar to the heritage Herk. Flap and trim position indicators are on the Pilot's panel almost in the same position as the old ones.
