I'll start out by saying this looks like a great website!
I was a Loadmaster for 21 years starting on 74 models at Dyess in 1985-1993. I spent three years in 1st MAPS, three years in the 772 TAS, and two years in the Dyess ALCE.
Moved on to Kirtland and SOF (1550th FTS) flying Talon 2s for four years,
1993-1997. Spent a couple years in Aerial Deivery and two in the 550th (re-named) SOS.
On to Kadena and the 353d SOG, 1st SOS, 1997-2002, again, three in the squadron, two in Aerial Delivery, and i must say, thee BEST FIVE YEARS OF MY LIFE!!
Back to the states and Hurlburt Field to the 18th Flight Test Squadron, attached the the 15th SOS for flying, 2002-2006.
Decided to hang it up and retire in Apr 06 and went to work as a contractor flight test engineer with the 413th FLTS conducting developmental test on AFSOC weapon systems.
I am currently the AFSOC MC-130 T&E manager as a civil servant, great job, but really miss being on the line.
Anyway, that's my AF life in a nutshell. Glad to be part of Herkybirds.com and look forward to the future.
