  1. How many are you trying to feather at once? We used to limit to two aux feather motors at one time while on ATM.
  2. SKE would have only been blaring it's proximity warning all the time....I don't think you'd have the resolution on the display set at the most close-in setting, to make out any other airplane on it.
  3. Hmmm, well, at least I learned something today!
  4. At 3:15 into the video, looking at the tail numbers, 56-0502 was written off in 12/65, so I'd guess no later than 1965. However, I'm quite sure the 3-bladed prop was long gone well before then.
  5. The H2.5 got rid of the crap ADI/HSI of the previous H2s, upgraded to an EFI. Otherwise...maybe the bearing failure lights? The flush toilet came with the '83 model at Schenectedy, along with the new flight deck seats. Is the AFRC unit in LRF deactivating soon?
  6. That's what really matters to LM....delivered, which means they got paid.
  7. I just did the same thing....once I sat down & really looked at my flying history report, I found a whole year of flights missing from 2000. Luckily, the hours didn't get erased. Can't help with most of the mission numbers, except on my combat missions the symbol was O-1. O-2 is/was combat support, and O-4 is flight test.
  8. If you check the N numbers on flightaware, it shows 119TG having flown last month from Mesa to San Diego. Nothing on 120TG.
  9. Seems like a case of poor airmanship.
  10. There have been safety briefings with the cause of this. Pretty bad. I don't know what I can get into at this point, so I'll leave it with...this crash had no outside influences such as birds, etc.
  11. "Two of the world’s biggest bushfire-fighting aircraft have landed on Victorian soil ahead of what is expected to be a scorching summer." I think the Tanker-10 may be a little bigger...
  12. I do know the ex-50th 92/93s were due new wings
  13. I do know the ex-50th 92/93s were due new wings
  14. There's a distinct difference between what mods CAN be done, versus what mods are available. Unlimited money can usually dictate any kind of mod you want.
  15. Unfortunately, I bet 0548 is still trashed from its long active duty tour with the 50th...not sure I'd be happy about getting it if I were in mx.
  16. Bob, guess you didn't see you message. We got 80-0324 from SAV, but I'm not sure of the tail # from Reno.
  17. Bob, I couldn't see the number on the nose, so I figured you'd know what tail...er, fuselage is sitting at Cheyenne with no wings/tail. I saw 7861 at the front gate....many hours in that one.
  18. No J!! We just got two to replace 1690 & 1587
  19. No worries...I wasn't criticizing, only observing.
  20. If you look at any of the blades, it appears to me that any prop blast would try to turn the prop counter-clockwise...which is backwards. Just saying that's what it appears like to me. I understand those guys operating the airplane knew what they were doing...sometimes camera angles play with your vision. Could it be that the film developing reversed, like you're seeing #1 prop, not #4? Look at the leading edge of the "#3" engine blade in view...it's on the wrong side.
  21. Yeah, that's what I was getting at...especially since I (like many of us) have experience on both sides of the fence.
  22. That #4 prop actually looks like it's feathered to me. The blade angle just isn't right for a buddy start.
  23. Haha, maintainers without aircrew are....unemployed. Or was it the other way around?
