  1. WE WORK ON A NAVY HERC PRIOR TO 165. OUR PLANES HAVE THE LONG WIRES FOR HF ANTENNAS THAT CONNECT TO THE VERT STAB TO THE FORWARD OF THE FUSELAGE. HER IS THE GRIPE, HF 2 COUPLER FAULT LIGHT COMES ON WHEN YOU KEY THE MIC. HF 2 WILL NOT TRANSMIT NOR RECEIVE. IF THE MIC IS NOT KEYED AND THE TEST IS INITIATED ON THE CONTROL HEAD THE RT LIGHT COMES ON. WE HAVE SWAPPED COUPLERS, CONTROL HEADS AND R/TS WITH THE GRIPE NOT FOLLOWING. CHECKED THE COAX RESISTOR BUT HAVE NOT CHECKED THE HF #2 RELAY. WE HAVE CHECKED A NUMBER OF WIRES ALL READING GOOD. ANYONE HAD THIS ISSUE BEFORE OR HAVE ANY POINTERS TO GIVE ME. I WOULD APPRECIATE ANY HELP. THANKS.

  2. PILOT ALT SELECT AND ALT HOLD UNSAFE WHILE COUPLED TO AUTOPILOT. IN CLIMB WITH ALT SELECT AND NAV LOC ARMED AND APPROX 5 DEG NOSE UP, COMMAND BARS PITCH UP 18 DEG. AT LEVEL FLIGHT WITH ALT HOLD AND NAV LOC ARMED, COMMAND BARS PITCH DOWN 5 DEG AND AIRCRAFT FOLLOWS. SYSTEM WORKS 4.0 ON COPILOT SIDE. WHAT DO YOU THINK? WE HAVE A BRAND NEW FLIGHT COMPUTER. BAD ADC? BY THE WAY WE HAVE A C-130T.

  3. The CO-pilots HSI displays a to and from Nav flag when either the #2 INS or the #2 TACAN is selected. The INS and TACAN systems work 4.0. We have already swapped HSIs and INUs and have been looking at relays with no luck so far.:confused: Has anyone seen this before?
