I retired in July 2000 after serving in both the Army and Air Force for a combined total of 32 years of active duty military service. My flying career began as a 19-year old Cobra pilot in the 101st Airborne Division. I flew 400 combat missions in Vietnam.
My USAF service included tours as a T-38 IP, C-5 tours at Travis and Dover, KC-135 at Malmstrom and command of the 89th Operations Group at Andrews AFB Md.
