H2/3 Posted April 3, 2012 Share Posted April 3, 2012 Early last Saturday morning Kevin Gaffney passed away at West Cobb Hospital in Austell, Georgia. After retirement he became a C-130 flight engineer simulator instructor at Dobbins ARB and settled in this area. Nearly 10 years ago he was diagnosed with cancer and has fought that battle ever since. In one of his last emails he said he had a GOD given talent for tenacity. Everyone around him knew how true that statement was, as I have never known anyone as determined and strong willed as Kevin in his long battle against this terrible desease. He will be surely missed.
