Yakota C-130s in the 60's

Does anyone have the tail numbers of the C-130s at Yakota in the mid 60's? A friend was a crew chief in aero repair there and wishes he had the tail numbes. His name is Gary Carpenter.

Bob, There were B models at Yokota during the time I was at Tachi 62-65, they were WX birds, wink wink

Here is the list 58-0711,0723, 59-1524, 1525, 1526, 1527, 1528, 1529, 1530, 1531, 1532, 1533, 1535, 1537.

My good friend Skip Sarnelli was there as a crew chief on those B's

Yokota was the home of the USAFSS C-130B-IIs into the 1970s. They kept at least one at Cam Ranh to monitor communications in Laos. The mission has long since been declassified, as has the similar mission at Rhine Main with A-models.

WE also kept one at Osan to monitor North Korea.  I spent 4 years at Yokota with 6091st Recon Sqd and 556th Recon Sqd.  Was crew chief on 59-1532  an later on 59=1535
