Emergency personnel met the plane when it returned to the flightline; the four airmen were taken to Benefis hospital to be evaluated. The nature and extent of their injuries has not been released at this point. Just before 4 p.m., the MT ANG said that all four airmen had been released from the hospital. Colonel Pete Hronek, the commander of the 120 AW, said in a press release, "The leadership of the 120th Air Wing is currently beginning the process to conduct a full safety review of the flight and crew." Major Cody Smith, the public affairs officer for the unit, said, "The details on the number Airmen injured and extent of those injuries are still being evaluated, we are closely monitoring the situation and we will pass on information as it becomes available." The press release described the turbulence as "severe." Major Smith noted that the normal crew complement for a C-130 is six airmen, but was not able to confirm that six crew members were aboard this particular flight.
