  1. Recently two pictures have appeared on the net of an L100 flying in the US. It has a number on the tail not an N number and not a USAF number. 41901.

An airplane with this number was reported in a Hangar at Lockheed Greenville about 2 years ago.

There are about 5 Herks commonly called \"Mystery Herks\"

    5032,5048,5055,5056, and 5057

Lockheed says they did not build 4 of them but, I think they lie.

Four are registered with the FAA 5032 N3755P supposedly flying with Prescott, 5048 M82178 was used by ALC, 5055 N8231G flying with Prescott, 5056 N8218J last seen flying for Mega Trade. All are registered to lawyers offices in Montana. 5057 has never been seen.5032 is the only one Lockheed admits building.

Anyone know which aircraft is 41901?

If the pictures do not attach, I\'ll try again.

  2. That is the airplane that had the cockpit fire at Dyess in 1974.

Bruce Ferrier was the wing king, he had been 37 TAS Commander. He got fired.

They rebuilt it and it became a Senior Hunter spook aircraft at Harrisburg PA. Some kind of electronic spooks, maybe that is why it seems to have a phony tank and whatever that gadget is.

After PA ANG got their J\'s it went to the PRANG to haul trash and was last known to be at Hurlburt hauling trash.

  3. I was looking up some stuff for Hush on his Berlin for Lunch Bunch and then talking with Tiny Clark about the 62 models and came up with a question.

Back in the early 70\'s the USAF started dumping its most beat up E\'s on the Guard and Reserve. The 62\'s and any real doggy 63\'s and 64\'s they had. The Guard and the Reserve fixed them up and now the USAF is getting them all back. The only Guard units with E\'s are the PRANG and LRF and the Reserve has none.

Anyhow my question is, there were 6 62 models not counting ABCCC that did not go to the ARF. Three were former MEAFSA later Jackpot later Berlin E\'s later Pacer Coin 62-1819,1822,1828. Two were MEAFSA, Jackpot E\'s 62-1821,1827.

The only other one was 62-1855 still with the 62AS? Anyone know why it did not go to the ARF?

    Thanks

  4. The MC130P passes gas to helicopters.

The MC130E/H are supposed to be able to do insertions and I think pass gas.

I don\'t know what the MC130W does, it sounds like it is MC130H lite>

  5. RZ or anyone,

I was looking at a list of A models delivered to SVAF.

    35 over time.

I could identify all the units that 34 of them came from but not 57-0465.

I suspect that it came from the 167 TAS but can\'t find any documentation on it.

    Would you know?
