  1. Hi

Casey has done a big update to the photo gallery.

We are still missing pics of 87 of the 2315+/- Herks built.

There is a listing in the gallery section of the ones we are missing.

    Any help would be appreciated.

    Thanks

    Bob

The E\'s were all 61 models, all the E\'s were demoded back to slicks.

It is the remains of 5141 Tchad TT-PAF.

It ran off the end of the runway and burned at Abeche Tchad landing in a sandstorm in June 2006.

The wreckage can still be seen on Google Earth at 13 50\'47N 20 51\'35E

  5. Has anyone heard what is going on with the BRAC changes?

    I read that

164 AS was to close at Mansfield OH (When?/Herks to?)

135 AS was to close at Baltimore, J\'s to LRF (When?)

105 AS was to close at Nashville, now to be a FTU with WC-130H.

Where are the Nashville Herks going?

    Thanks

    Bob

  6. 53AS will close as an AETC Sq in Jan and open as an AMC Sq sometime in the Spring.

Already people and aircraft are moving to 62AS.

  7. Chilean AF Herk 996 was in The Netherlands to pick up equipment for its new F-16\'s. Gerke Hofstra sent this picture of the ramp.

I figured it all out but \"ALADOS\", It must be an idiom.

  8. After CCK it went to Martinsburg WV ANG and now is with AR ANG.

It has only 29975 Hours on it. Not a lot for a 45 year old airplane.

Our paths must have crossed, I flew the last day of the war in 1973 out of U-Tapao. We did a TSN turn that day.

PS If you click on downloads you can find a current location list.

Many moons ago there were PCS HC130\'s at Lajes.

We were greeted by them one time when we lost 2 engines on the way there.

The 57 ARRS was there with Herks from 66 to 72.

On the Atlantic side we had

54 ARRS at Goose later Pease

55 ARRS at Bermuda later McCoy

    58 ARRS at Wheelus

67 ARRS at Moron later Woodbridge, I think 67 did TDY to Lajes after 57 closed.
