Just got this 65-0991 is preserved at the front gate at Cannon. 69-5832 is also at Cannon as a Weapons trainer.

69-5828 is still at Hurlburt. Doing what?

I heard from the AF museum that 65-0991 has gone to Cannon AFB to be preserved on base.

Still no word on 69-5828 and 5832

68-10940 an aeromed trainer from Nashville.

I was finally thanks to Carl Penaranda confirm that it is 68-10940 on the ramp at Cheyenne. It had been an Aeromed trainer at Nashville and now is an Aeromed trainer at Cheyenne.

Also had it confirmed that 4 Cheyenne H's are now at Reno. Don't know which ones yet.

I saw Dick a couple of months before he passed away. He was stationed at Little Rock then. Died really young, another great guy.

Just saw a nice picture of 93-7311 flying out of Reno painted in Reno ANG colors. Ex Cheyenne.  As part of this H shuffle it looks like Peterson and Cheyenne are being reduced to 8 aircraft.

I've been asking that question for awhile. I think it is 68-10940 which was at Nashville but have not been able to confirm it.

last year they had 2 others 87-9287 and 89-1055. They also had 2 of their 78's at Little Rock with the reserve Sq there.

We were talking about Don yesterday. I flew with him a lot at Langley and we stayed in touch for years. After he retired, he was chief pilot for First Miss Corp in Jackson MS and he used to fly to Dallas a lot and we got together. His daughter sent me an e mail about his passing. I looked for and never found an obit.

He was one of the best pilots I ever flew with and a great friend.

Yes they were factory fresh to Savannah.

The 78's were originally OK ANG and ended up Pitt AFRC

The 79's were originally MS ANG then spread around and finally consolidated at Reno.

SAC MAC and TAC were only in the CONUS.

USAFE, PACAF, and Southcom gained SAC, MAC and TAC units tdy. USAFE and PACAF also had their own units assigned.

In 73, 37TAS and a Dyess SQ were TAC units assigned to PACAF at CCK, there were also 4 PACAF Herk sqdns at CCK at the time.

The externals added weight and drag, but as I remember, only 30 years ago, the B's had full boost hydraulic pressure to the flight controls and the E's were deboosted, don't know if that is a word, but had lower pressure to the flight controls because of stress caused by the externals.

Airliners is incorrect on this one. I took a trip to Sheppard around 2004.

53-3131 was still being used as an aeromed trainer in a lot over by the civilian terminal.

I don't know how to attach pics but 2 pics I took of it then are in the Gallery 3003 and 3003B.

I know it was there with 58-0727 about 2011 then 727 went to Camp Bullis near SAT as an Aeromed trainer, 61-2361 came over to that lot at Sheppard and 53-3131 disappeared.

BTW 74-1658 just arrived at Wright Patt for use as an Aeromed trainer 

I flew B, E, K 's. I liked the B best. Flight controls were absolutely the best.

K's had the best power. K and E had good flight instruments, but overall I think the B flew the best.
