bobdaley Posted March 9, 2010 Share Posted March 9, 2010 I just got an interesting e mail about the consolidation of all enlisted medical training for all three services at Camp Bullis, North of San Antonio. Anyhow they had pictures of a wingless Herk being delivered from Sheppard to Bullis. My guess is that it is our old TX ANG Herk 58-0727 which has been an airevac trainer at Sheppard in the training area near the civilian terminal. They also said they had another C130 to be delivered from Kelly/Lackland. My guess here was 70-1264 previously reported as delivered to Kelly for Camp Bullis. Can anyone confirm these? bobdaley Posted March 9, 2010 Author Share Posted March 9, 2010 That's where we went from Kelly to do small arms training. Then the Sky Cops moved in with Air Base defense training. Then 433 TAW spent a lot of money to build an assault strip for our B models. Before it was finished they took away our Herks and gave us the big pigs, C-5's.
