Anyhow, Pakistan received 4 B models and % E models from Iran The B models 3691,3698,3700, 3701 were all lost in accidents. The 5 E's were 4117, 4119, 4148, 4153, 4282 4117 was reported as a write off also. The article said one E model was returned to the Iranian AF. I have seen pictures this year of 4153 and 4282 in their new grey paint scheme. The last picture I saw of 4148 was in 2006 and the last of 4119 was in 2005 Did Pakistan in fact give back an E model? If it did, which one? In trying to figure out which herks Iran still has I have used the numbering system that Lars Olausson uses in his book. However recently there have been reports and pictures of two Iranian Herks 5-8553 and 5-8554. I'll dig them up and try to post them. Anyhow does anyone know what the Production numbers are for those Herks? Also Iranian 5-8520 Lock # 4402 has been reported in several places as crashed in 1979 but there have been pictures of an aircraft with that tail number recently? Can anyone help?
