RyanOli
I was trying to find out when VMGR-352 became known as the "RAIDERS". Also, when did 352 start wearing the Jolly Roger on their flight suit? Thanks for the help.
hlg6016
Mid to late 80's timeframe, They also dropped the white radomes and began painting them gray to match the 2 tone paint job.
tinyclark
I called one of the retired NASU (Natec) reps out there, and he couldn't remember exactly. I went to see him on a site visit from Norton, and it was late 80's. I still have a sticker or two with the LA Raiders Logo. They must have been refered to as the Raiders already, as they asked the footbal team if the could use an adaptation of the logo. They got to LA in 1982, so I am assuming it was a few years after that. Probably figure 1984 or 85. The Riaderettes sometimes made it to the Air Shows at El Toro. Michael is going to send an e-mail to another guy to see if he remembers.
miked23
Guy's, I was in VMGR-352 in 1970, and we were called the Raiders back then IIRC.
