casey Posted July 6, 2016 Share Posted July 6, 2016 More than 100 members of the 179th Airlift Wing are returning Wednesday afternoon. At approximately 2 p.m., the 179th Airlift Wing will welcome home the final rotation of returning deployed members from a historic mission with the C-130H Hercules aircraft. This is the first the unit has deployed with the C-130H Hercules since the aircraft returned to the 179th Airlift Wing following a mission conversion from the C-27J Spartan back to the C-130H Hercules. Members have been deployed from three to six months in support of tactical airlift missions throughout the middle-east. The first rotation of this deployment consisting of around 56 airmen and two aircraft arrived back safely on July 4.
