Hard Landing

hi everyone,

we always been told the clevis bolts on truss mounts (4 on each center and 2 on each outer truss mounts) are hard landing indicators, if any of them found sheared it means the aircraft suffered a hard landing.. I tried to find this info in the manuals many times but couldn't.. even started to doubt about it

I am sure there is a purpose of the special way to install them leaving 0.020-0.040" gap and the restrictions about over-sizing their holes

anybody have a clue about it?
