It wasn't that hard to do. Shoring the airplane was the hardest part. You need guys that are artists, not butchers to do the work.

382-28-24 Lightning Protection For Tanks With Wall Thickness Less Than 0.080 Inch
-
Does anyone know of a service bulletin that calls out measuring the skin thickness of the one-piece external tanks? P/N 388236-1.
I have three SFAR 88 SBs, not one of them specifies minimum thickness.

Thanks.

How far behind the times am I? Can someone provide the latest change number and date?

Thank you very much Larry Myers. Tiny's question sounds very insulting to say the least. All he needed to do was consult Oxford English dictionary.
Lighten up, Francis.

Thanks. I got it from the lower baffle drawing. And the Made From. Thanks.

Does anybody know where I can get my hands on this? I have the H-10, but the 16W14-11-3 has more detail, specifically, identifying the part number for the seal that is above and aft of the scupper.

When the bang starts in suck, squeeze, bang and blow.

I've always used an engineering order for this as the -3 doesn't have a specific repair.
-
Thanks, Tiny.

The latest revision of the -3 has the Outer Wing Removal/Installation procedure deleted. Anybody know where I can get a copy of TO 1C-130H-2-00GE-00-1?

Found it, 51-140-06.

Where can I find the spec. for the fabric that is used to cover the side lightening holes as well as those on the front spar? We used a cotton that would have EC-776 applied to it to make it moisture-resistant. But I can't find it in the TOs or any SMP. Any ideas?

Just like the FAA telling me that the L-100 is a totally different Aiframe and does not share the TC Classifications with the C-130. I faxed him the giant book that I have from the Last five Lockheed-Martin Certs Paperwork for the C-130 and L-100 fleet that show that to be an incorrect statement.
Yet the TO 13-130A-3 and the SMP 583 have different criteria for repairs, one example are the wing leading edges; the TO calls for two rows on the doubler, and the SMP specifies four... Depends on the inspector you are talking to...

Working on a radome that is calling out a test found in TO 1-1-24. Anybody happen to have a copy?

Not sure if this is the Navaguesser's seat or the FE:

MRO= Maintenance, Repair, Overhaul The -3 is the equivalent of the SRM... There are people like Newport Aeronautical that have the pubs. As Tiny pointed out, unless you are contracting or bidding on a contract, you cannot get a current TO. If your working on the Civilian Hercs, you need the SMPs.

Are you referring to the skylight windows(above the main panels)?
-
No. Loctite EA9395 is a thixotropic paste. Loctite EA9396 is a low-viscosity laminating resin for wet lay ups.
-
I am trying to get the current TO-1C-130A-3, but since I am not working on an actual contract at the moment, I can't ask for it.
Can someone tell me what revision/Change they are on?
-
Does anyone know where I can scrounge a current, or almost current copy of TO 6J14-4-5-3. It is the overhaul instructions for the One-piece 1360 gallon external tank? My copy is Change 4 - 14 JUL 77.

A few things:
Do you have it set at the correct angle?
Are there any significant repairs to the trailing edge?
Have any of the skin panels been replaced?
Check the weights, we have had two instances where the weights were "locally machined" where their weight was removed.
If you still run into problems, get your LM Tech Rep or call the Hercules Support Center 770-431-6549.

Greetings,
Do you have a photo of the damage? What failed after twelve cycles? The Repair Doubler?
