As far as I know, 62-1791 was the only ABCCC plane that had ever been drilled and rigged for dual rails, none of the others were ever modded.

But I dont think the 7th ACCS even owned a set of rails to install on 1791 even if they wanted too.

that is correct, the AF just sold 1791. but it did have dual rails and flew like a champ in Kadena.

and the current plan for MC-130J is changing to be more tailored to a Talon 2 platform...

I'm not 100%, but I think the current rules state that it can't be gender specific, clean language and it has to be approved. I'm not sure who the approving agency is.

That being said, our guys were told a few years back that it's totally 100%, NOT ALLOWED. I'm not sure if that's a local rule or from a command.

Like bischoffm said...it's simple, just don't get it were it obviously shouldnt go.

dumb as it sounds, it may be your engines being slighty off on torque value. had this problem several times over the years and always just changed the tires and the problem went away. had a shimmy a few months back and changed every component in the nlg, then changed the strute itself and the problem still maintained. so we swapped a motor and it went away...dumb if you think about it...but it's no longer a problem.
