I went through the altitude chamber at Shaw, after I got to Pope in 1968. It was for flight status as a crew chief. I have a wallet size certificate somewhere. I will scan and upload it as soon as I find it.

Yeah. we drank some beer. We were young and had all the answers. I would like to see Jerry again someday. I got my nose broken one time at CRB. I don't know if Jerry remembers or not. It too involved Beer. I'll post a picture sometime.

I think this photo was taken at Tempelhoff Germany (Berlin). It is hard to remember.

Yeah, brings back a lot of memories. I wish I had taken more photos while on trips, but was always too busy with "stuff".

I was just going through some old records I have stored. I was in the 41st TAS at Naha. Tech Sargent Robert Lawson was my NCOIC. I was the assistant crew chief on 55-025. The crew chief was Ronald Johnson.

It is a shame the memory isn't better. Maybe too many brews! Hahaha! Of course this was 40 years plus ago.......

I remember the steaks the cooks would cook out back of the mess building. That was great eating time!!!

That is because no one understands what a vet has done for them. It is easy to stand up and cheer and say thank you to vets, but the real only way to say thank you is to VOTE these pos's out of office and get someone in who will make a difference and not play the game! Don't get me started!

I was always amazed how the skin would swell during ground pressurization. I always stood waaaay back as far as I could!

I remember spending two or three days at a time on the flight line helping repair bullet holes and broken windows. When our plane left, we got to go to Herky Hill and eat or sleep. Sand everywhere, food, soap, bed, everywhere! When you got tired on the flight line, you sat in the cockpit and caught some zzzzzz's.

Always stayed on Herky Hill and always had some revetments. Didn't always park in them. I was there 67- Nov 68.

I and others were able to take a tour of the Marietta, Georgia factory while in the Air Force. It must have been in 1970. We picked up a plane from Mod and flew it to CCK. It was a two week trip because of problems along the way (fuel leaks, high winds, etc...). What an amazing factory. They were building the first two fuselages for the C5 in one end of the plant. They were huge for the times! It is one of the best trips I remember well while in the AF. We flew to Dyess, McClellan, Hickman, Guam, Wake, Okinawa and CCK.

Excuse me, but that is just crazy!!!! It is amazing what we did when we were younger!

There must have been some sort of check-in procedure when you arrived. I don't remember any. It just seemed like work, eat, sleep, work, eat, sleep, drink beer, etc...

I was there in 67 & 68 from Naha, 41st TAS. I have a photo of the movie theater, though. I will post it later. I crewed A models. Posted CRB Theater Photo.

I worked on the flight line at CRB on and off for eighteen months and never realized there was a bunker. Stupid kid I guess!

Balls 7 was at Naha, Okinawa when I was there with the 41st in 67-68. Along with Balls 8 and 9.

I don't know. He is coming for a few days stay tomorrow. I will ask him.
