    The discussions over on the fire aviation boards are that this repositioning of the MAFFS to Nevada puts all the MAFFS systems in the areas where they are used the most. The MAFFS systems were never used in the Southern and Eastern areas over the last few years, so having them in California, Eastern Great Basin and Rocky Mountain areas puts them where most of the wildland fires take place.
